Scientific Studies on the Effects of EMF Radiation

Our products are grounded in a growing body of scientific studies documenting the biological effects of electromagnetic radiation on the human body.

Non-ionizing radiation, such as mobile GSM and LTE signals, represents a form of environmental burden on the human body: it causes a higher number of chromosomal aberrations [1], that is, chromosome damage that exhausts your body. It also reduces the quality of your sleep, as it can influence the NREM phase of the sleep cycle, which is essential for regeneration [2]. Even the European Parliament points out that for networks operating at 450 MHz – 6 GHz there is a positive association with a causal link to glioma (brain tumor) in humans, while in animals this causal link is established. For this reason, radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (EMF – e.g. from mobile phones, Wi‑Fi, 5G) are classified as “possibly carcinogenic to humans” (Group 2B) by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. A negative impact on male fertility has also been demonstrated, and possible links to brain development and behavior in children have been observed. For frequencies of 24 GHz and above, there is not yet enough data to draw a well-founded conclusion. [3]

Evaluation of oxidative stress and genetic instability among residents near mobile phone base stations in Germany

Multiple studies have shown that long-term exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation (RF-EMF) leads to increased levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in cells. This oxidative stress is associated with mitochondrial dysfunction and accelerated cellular aging.

5G radio-frequency-electromagnetic-field effects on the human sleep electroencephalogram: A randomized controlled study in CACNA1C genotyped volunteers

The study shows that exposure to 5G radiation (especially at 3.6 GHz) can alter brain activity during sleep. Specifically, it accelerates the frequency of sleep spindles in the NREM phase in people with the CACNA1C genetic variant (about 40% of the population). Since these spindles are important for sleep and memory, the results suggest that 5G radiation may affect brain processes.

Scientific analysis: Health impact of 5G

This scientific analysis prepared for the European Parliament indicates that at frequencies of 450 MHz – 6 GHz (commonly used in mobile networks), positive associations with the occurrence of certain tumors in humans have been observed, while experimental animal studies provide evidence of biological effects.

Radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (EMF – e.g. from mobile phones, Wi‑Fi or 5G) are therefore classified as “possibly carcinogenic to humans” (Group 2B) by the International Agency for Research on Cancer.

The analysis also points to demonstrated negative effects on male fertility and possible links to brain development and behavior in children.

However, for higher 5G frequencies (24 GHz and above), there is still a lack of high-quality long-term studies, so their impact remains a subject of further research.
